Fall updates
Hi everyone,
We hope you are having a great October so far!
This month, we have the following three prompts: (a) a horror, thriller, or mystery by a BIPOC author (b) a book by a trans BIPOC author and (c) a book of your choice by a BIPOC author.
See below for Brittany’s picks this month:
Just as a reminder, all books chosen must be by non-white or mixed-race authors. We have found a lot of white authors included in the lists, especially the one for the trans author prompt. We may have missed some, but please be mindful of this.
We have hidden these books so that anyone who hasn’t chosen their books for a prompt will no longer see them as an option. However, for anyone who has already chosen those books for a prompt, we cannot “un-shelve” that choice for them.
Continue your due diligence in checking the authors’ websites, social media, and or using search engines to clarify their backgrounds.
We would also like to remind you all, that because there are so many books currently on the Storygraph Challenge, it’s started lagging in a way that doesn’t let us load more than 10-ish books before crashing the entire page. This is making it very hard for us to exercise the little control we previously had on hiding books, so we might not always be able to hide every ineligible book from the prompts.
